Snake River Landing is pleased to announce that RFinity has opened their office in 901 Pier View Drive, Suite 207 near the corporate headquarters of Ball Ventures. RFinity is a new technology company that is launching a product that combines near-field transactions with the flexibility of mobile phones, to offer an open encryption platform that is convenient and highly secure. This system can be used in the context of different industries, from paying your neighbors for items at a garage sale to purchasing event tickets or paying for hotel rooms and opening the door at the same time.

RFinity, who has an exclusive worldwide license to exploit the relevant patents filed in conjunction with the Idaho National Lab (INL), was recently selected as the recipient of the 2009 R&D 100 Award for its Mobile Open-Encryption Platform by an independent judging panel and editors of R&D Magazine. The R&D 100 Award recognizes the most technologically significant products introduced in the past year. Past technologies of this award include the laser printer and high-definition televisions.

Although a start-up, RFinity has big plans to grow and has chosen Snake River Landing as not only the place for their current space, but also future expansion. “We love Snake River Landing! Snake River Landing Team Series Part 7: Jason Blundell

I am Jason Blundell, the Sr. Project Accountant for Snake River Landing. I work with all the departments that interface with the Snake River Landing Development. My role includes working with Construction, Sales, Leasing and the Management Group to make sure the projects we undertake in this development create value for the people who chose to either "live, work, shop or play" here and to make sure we are profitable at the same time. I oversee all of the Accounting to make sure that all transactions are booked correctly and create monthly financial reports to review with the Ball Ventures Management Group. We have a very talented group of people working on this project and I find great satisfaction in working with and learning from my peers as we continue to move forward on this exciting development here in Idaho Falls.

Snake River Landing Team Series Part 6: Megan Walker

Hi, I'm Megan Walker. I'm the marketing intern here at Snake River Landing. I can't really tell you what my job duties are because they change daily. All I know is I'm having fun and learning tons!

I'm also a senior at Idaho State University and I will graduate with a B.A. in Mass Communication, emphasis in Advertising and Public Relations in December of 2009. I can't wait! The light at the end of tunnel is getting BRIGHTER!

When I'm not at SRL, I'm either working at Wal-Mart or assistant coaching the Highland Lassies Dance Team in Pocatello. My hobbies include dancing, traveling, and watching movies.

My internship will last through the summer and I'll come back in October to help with Harvest Fest and the grand opening of the Central Valley! I'm excited to be here at SRL and I can't wait to see what they have in store for me !

Snake River Landing Team Series: Part 5 - Christian Taylor

Hello,

I am Christian Taylor. I am the Real Estate Manager for Ball Ventures and Snake River Landing. I have a unique opportunity to be involved in many exciting and new projects in our community. Snake River Landing is one of these projects! I have worked on a few projects within the development but I’m very excited about Pier View Court.

Pier View Court consists of four, 5,600 square foot buildings located in the heart of Snake River Landing, across from Hard Hat Steakhouse & Grill. The buildings have a timeless, yet unique main-street appeal and surround a beautiful central courtyard. If you are looking for a place to put your business, this is the new hot spot for retail or office. Plus, there are many new attractions coming to Snake River Landing including The Central Valley, new businesses, residential and TONS of events, which your business can take advantage of.

Another aspect of my job is helping where I can with the leasing and sales of the property at SRL. Snake River Landing offers so much to individual businesses and people - it’s fun to be able to explore the tremendous opportunities we have with anyone who is looking for a place to live, work, shop and play. When you come down here to see all of the things that SRL has to offer, stop in and say hi to our team.

Snake River Landing Team Series: Part 4 - Mattie Botero

Hi, I’m Mattie Botero, Snake River Landing’s Construction Administrator … Property Manager … and Tenant Coordinator.

First as Construction Administrator, I assist Tana Barney and Terry Bybee, SRL’s construction team, in overseeing all the on-site construction here at Snake River Landing. My responsibilities include preparing budgets for many of our new projects, drafting contracts for large construction as well as tenant build outs, and like Tana, assist the contractors in order to complete projects on time.

As Property Manager it is my responsibility to make sure Snake River Landing stays clean, looking good and all systems are properly maintained for the public’s enjoyment.

As Tenant Coordinator I assist Liza Leonard, SRL’s Leasing Representative, in the beginning stages of a tenant’s build out. Together, Liza and I help answer any questions the tenant and the contractor may have concerning the building or the tenant build out. After construction begins, it is my job to oversee construction and make sure everything runs smoothly.

SRL Team: Part 3 - Tana Barney

Hey, I’m Tana Barney, Senior Construction Manager at SRL. My responsibilities include working with land planners, engineers & architects to develop site and improvement plans for SRL. I work with governmental agencies to acquire the appropriate permits, work with the City of Idaho Falls to plat property and develop annexation agreements.

Then comes the fun part! Along with my trusty cohorts, Mattie Botero and Terry Bybee, I oversee all onsite construction and work with our contractors to complete projects on time.

Drive through the project and see how our latest project, The Central Valley, is coming along. It will be truly amazing when completed!

I'm always open to questions - just send me an email!

Taste of Idaho Adds River City Cook-Off

The Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce is calling all BBQ and grilling connoisseurs to get their cook on at the First Annual River City Cook-Off. This will be a featured event at the Taste of Idaho, Thursday, June 18th, 2009, at Snake River Landing.

This event is a cook-off competition for all interested individuals, not restaurants. Given the exclusivity of the event, availability has been limited to ten teams. Teams will prepare their culinary fare on-site and judges rate their prepared dishes against each other. The categories for the event are the Meat category and the Sides category. The Meat category consists of three divisions; pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. The Sides category consists of four divisions; corn on the cob, potato salad, coleslaw, and beans. Registration fees are $25 for each Meat division and $15 for each Sides division. If a team is interested in entering all divisions in both categories a $15 discount will be given. Winners will receive cash prizes, trophies, and much more!

Teams are responsible for providing their own food and preparation materials for the event including any devices (i.e. grills, smokers, utensils, etc) used for cooking the food.

Advanced registration is required. Register today and don’t miss out! For registration and event information please contact Monica Bitrick at 208-535-0505 or by email at monicaaes@ida.net .

SRL Team, Part 2: Liza Leonard

Hello, Liza Leonard here, on-site Sales and Leasing Representative for Snake River Landing.

I work with interested tenants and buyers through the process of bringing their business to Snake River Landing, from initial discussions through the delivery of a suite or building. Choosing the right location is one of the most important decisions you will make as a business owner. Here at Snake River Landing, we are able to provide our tenants with a convenient location easily accessible from major interchanges and downtown, while also offering a space that is unlike anything else in Idaho Falls – river views, nearly six miles of walking trails to be enjoyed on a lunch break or after work, attractive landscaping and green space, inventive architecture, and many hidden benefits such as a spring, summer and fall packed with community events, skilled advertising and marketing, the flexibility to respond to tenant and buyer needs not typically available from all property owners, and a vision of the future of Idaho Falls and our region.

There are many exciting developments at Snake River Landing this spring. Office space near the Pier is disappearing fast so give me a call today to find out what we can do for you. We have a variety of retail spaces available in premier locations on the river right off Pancheri Drive as well as up the street near the new Hard Hat Steakhouse & Grill. With the weather warming up and the first phase of residential about to kick off, now is the time to get your business in to what will soon become an Idaho Falls hot spot.

Come check out what Snake River Landing has to offer you by visiting the Discovery Center at 901 Pier View Drive, Suite 104, or by giving me a call at 557-5300. We can’t wait to see you here!

Who is the Snake River Landing Team?

Hi!

I'm Michelle Ziel, Marketing Manager of Snake River Landing and I am the primary author of the SRL blog.

Over the next week or so, I want to introduce the people from Ball Ventures, LLC who work on the Snake River Landing development. They will be periodically joining me here on the blog and I want to make sure that they are all properly introduced, starting with me.

As the Marketing Manager, my responsibilities include designing all of the advertising creative (print ads, billboards, banner ads, etc), planning SRL-sponsored events (The River Rocks / Taste of Idaho, The Great Race for Education with EITC and many more), managing The Discovery Center - our sales and leasing office, and of course, handling all of our web offerings (Facebook, Twitter, Website).

To say the least, my career is exciting, varied, challenging and fun.

Our company also provides many opportunities for me to partner with many wonderful area non-profit organizations, such as Salvation Army, Good Samaritan Society, Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce, Museum of Idaho and many others.

If you have any questions concerning the marketing of Snake River Landing, please send me an email!
